QA Automation & Regression Testing
One-Line Outcome
Deployed a QA automation pipeline that delivered 93% test coverage, reduced release bugs by 72%, and cut regression testing time from 5 days to under 1 day.
The Challenge
A mid-size FinTech company was releasing bi-weekly builds but struggling with repeated production bugs, unstable test environments, and manual test cycles that drained developer time. Their QA team couldn’t keep pace with their growing codebase and multiple platform dependencies.
The Strategy
We embedded a QA pod from Foundry with automation-first thinking:
- Set up an end-to-end test strategy across mobile (Android/iOS), web, and backend
- Chose Playwright + BrowserStack for web, Appium + Firebase Test Lab for mobile, and Pytest for API layers
- Introduced CI-triggered nightly builds and coverage reports
The focus was to shift-left QA into dev pipelines and enforce quality without slowing teams down.
Execution
- – Wrote 400+ reusable test cases across smoke, sanity, regression
- Enabled test recording & replay for failed scenarios
- Integrated Jira + GitHub for traceability and test failure alerts
- Delivered dashboards tracking test coverage, flakiness, and failure trends
Results
- Test coverage grew from 21% to 93% in 6 weeks
- 72% reduction in production bugs
- Regression testing time reduced by 80%
- QA cycle efficiency up by 3.4x with CI automation
